Dear Regina Diving Club Families,

As we prepare for our upcoming competition (Westerns May 1 - 3), we are kindly asking each family to make a donation(s) to support our hospitality room.  Consider also sharing with Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts who may want to make cookies, loaves, muffins, make a cash donation) etc.

The hospitality room plays an important role during our meets, as it provides snacks, light breakfast, and lunch for our coaches, judges, volunteers, and athletes. Your contributions help ensure everyone is well-supported throughout the event.

To make things as convenient as possible, we have included a cash donation option for families who may prefer that instead of contributing specific items.

If you do not have a strong preference for what to donate, we kindly ask that you consider selecting items listed earlier on the sign-up. This helps us ensure we meet our most essential needs first.

Please also take note of the drop-off times, as donations are needed at different points throughout the weekend (Thursday evening, Friday morning, Saturday morning, or Sunday morning). Being mindful of these timelines helps everything run smoothly.

Please follow the link below to sign up for a donation(s)

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity. Supporting the hospitality room is one of the key ways we help keep competition costs manageable—hospitality is our second-largest expense at the meet. Our goal in hosting competitions is to generate a modest profit that is built into our club’s operational budget, which in turn helps keep regular training fees as affordable as possible for all families.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Regina Diving Club. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Please continue to watch your email as in the coming weeks more information will be circulated about volunteering during the meet.

Extra Information about Competitions:

For those who may be newer to the club and/or sport, this competition is the Western Canadian Championships (“Westerns”). This event provides an opportunity for athletes in levels F through A (approximately ages 5–18) to compete on 1m, 3m, and tower, depending on their age and whether they have the required “dive lists” for each board. A dive list is the set of required dives a diver must be able to perform in order to compete on a particular board (1m, 3m and tower). Coaches will be checking in with each diver and family in the weeks and days leading up to the competition to confirm whether your diver has the necessary dive list(s). For those athletes who are not yet competing, we strongly encourage you to come out and watch—this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the sport and see what future participation can look like. If you have any questions about the actual competition please reach out to your coach. If you have questions about donations and volunteering please reach out to Bonnie
